I have a quite a few products to tell you about today. BUT, I think you are going to like 'em! So stick with me! First up, I have a new kit in the stores called Let Love In. As you may have guessed it's a Valentine's Day kit, but it definitely doesn't have that kiddie Valentine feel. You could use this kit for all sorts of LO's. The inspiration for this kit came to me one day when I was having a thoroughly bad day. All because some stranger was being a jerk for no reason. It dawned on me that the world would be such a better place if we could just Let a little more love into our hearts. A little cheesy? Perhaps. But since that day I have tried to just LOVE more. And you know what? It pays off. I am more patient with my spouse and kids, not to mention myself. And strangers, even the cranky strangers! OK off my little soap box- Here are some fab CT LOs

Yes December is here! I can hardly believe it myself. But it is December 1st and fitting to that date, I woke up to SNOW! Now, I don't love snow, but it's nice to have around at Christmas-time. November is national adoption month. Adoption is something very dear to my heart as I myself am adopted. I am so Thankful that my birth mother chose to give me a different life. I grew up with the best parents on the planet. Not all babies come from their mother's womb, some come from their mother's heart. Precious is an adoption themed kit. Holy Busy October!

Oh my, my! October isn't even half over yet and I have been BUSY! First we went on a little family vacation to Chicago. That was a lot of fun. Ate way too much pizza, but it was SO good. Seriously the best pizza I have ever eaten!

Then my parents flew in from ID the day after we got home. It was so nice to have them around for 5 days. I'll miss them. We were busy while they were here, I barely got a minute on the computer. But, I just had to share this picture or my darling baby girl out eating ice cream. Every time her daddy would go to give her a bite she would open wide and then stick her tongue out like this- it was too funny!

Falling.....

First of all- I apologize for the funky placing of my pictures. Ever since blogger updated I have the hardest time moving pictures around. It's really quite annoying! I couldn't get them all centered, so they are all on the left.

On to the new kit! Falling....I feel like I am falling, falling, falling into this chilly fall football weather. Don't get me wrong, I love a good college football game as much as the next gal {GO BSU!!} but I have to admit. I am scared for it to be winter here in MN. Summer please stay forever? Anyway, as it turned to fall here basically overnight, I got inspired to make a fall kit, Falling. It's not my usual style, but I think you will like it. Are you ready for fall? It kind of came out of left field for me. One day it's 80 and the next it's 50! Falling is a fall kit with a very natural earthy feel to it. Perfect for scrapping all those leafing jumping, pumpkin picking and hay riding Photos! Fallining includes 13 papers - 6 patterned and 7 solids and 40 elements including acorns, leaves, flowers, ribbons, string and rustic looking shutters.

Wow. I can't believe I almost forgot that I have a new release today! DUH! {slaps forehead and shakes head}. My poor CT. Happy Friday everybody! Hope your week went well. Mine was fairly quiet, which was nice because a couple of weeks ago my little guy had his tonsils out. :( He was pretty miserable for about a week- only wanting mom to hold him. All the extra snuggles were nice, but it sure made it hard to get anything done! He is finally feeling back to normal and I am super happy about that.

Did you all get your super cheap templates before they retired? It's alright if you didn't, I have a new line of templates to show you. They are called Templation. Each set has a different "theme". The first set is called Templation:PhotoBooth because they are for multi photo LO's. My CT loved these and also made the remark that it is super easy to put elements on these new templates. Yay! Yes I am still here. Little over a week ago, my family and I made the 24 hour across 4 states} move to MN. We are here and wow it does take time to unpack and organize. I have to say, I am SO sick of moving. Hubby and I have moved 10 times since being married 6.5 years ago! That just isn't right! Thankfully we will be here for 3 years definitely, so that's good. Anyway,

amidst all the chaos, I did find time to do a little design work. I am in the DSC design factor. So far it's been fun, although we are only one challenge in! OK, time for a small vent. I'm sure you all noticed that blogger was out sick for like 2 days. I lose my entire scheduled post for today! Grrrrr. I do these things late at night after bedtime for a reason! So I had to find time today to re-do it all. Not an easy task with a baby and 3 YO. So I apologize for the late blog post.Anyway, I bring you- Birds of a Feather {flock together} is a bright, spunky, springy kit with a family feel. While it would be perfect for scrapping all sorts of family pictures, it would also be great for spring time photo shoots as well. Birds of a Feather has 12 Patterned and 6 Solid papers, an Alpha both upper and lower and 52 elements. I have to say, this kit is just perfect for clustering. My CT did a fantastic job, as always!

Happy Friday everyone! I hope your week went as well as mine. We had quite a bit of sun, so that always makes me happy! I am so excited to bring you this weeks kit. I have to say, I LOVE the colors. Just so fresh and springy. Have you ever heard Katy Perry's song fireworks? If not you must go to you tube and listen to it. It's sooo very good. This is sort of where the inspiration for this kit came from. I was having a blue kind of day last week and this song came on my iPod. The words totally lifted my spirits and I knew I had to make a kit to portray the way I felt. So "Shine" was born. It was 12 pattern papers, 6 solids and 51 Elements. Well I am back from my "mini-cation". It was fun and MN treated us well {we had 60+ degree weather while there, although, it's snowing today...}. It was exhausting though. After driving around pretty much constantly, after 2 days we found a house. I am so happy too. I was having major panic attacks about being able to find a place to live. Lo and behold, about the last house we looked at was the one. Thank Goodness! It wasn't all work though! I got to finally meet up with my bestus digi girl in the whole wide world! Manda AKA NibblesSkribbles. And I am apologizing in advance for the poor photos. I didn't bring my nice camera and my little point and shoot is a piece of you know what! So here we are looking a little washed out {but smokin' hot if I do say so myself!} at the Rainforest Cafe-

I love that Manda's son set up camp right next to Tim so Manda and I could just sit and chat. Thanks hubby for making a new BFF in little Adam! And here we are, not so washed out, but slightly fuzzy-

It was so great to meet. We were like old friends. No weirdness at all! Can't wait to get together again once I actually move out to MN. After lunch Hubbs and I had some time to kill at the Mall Of America so we shopped a little and played a round of mini golf. This... er... log was on one of the holes and it was too funny not to take a picture. I'll let you draw your own conclusions...

Anyway, just some fun stuff I am doing an Easter "Eggstavaganza!" I have been a little bummed out with weather and just other random facts of life lately, so what better way to celebrate with a little blog party! Check out the ad for more info. I have a new kit out in the stores today, called All Laced Up. I love, LOVE to run. I have ran a handful of 10K's and one half marathon. I can't wait for the day when I have time to train and run a full marathon {2 kids really cut into my run time}. On a recent run I got the idea to make a running kit. Ok not really, but that is what I feel like saying to preface this post! It's a lengthy post full of so much Eastery cuteness that you just might vomit! Ok not really, but if you make it all the way though, there are 2 freebies to be had!

Let me just start by saying, I have kinda neglected my little blog over here haven't I? I'm sorry. It's been a busy time in my family's life. As you may know, Tim, my hubby, is a 4th year medical student. Well all this year he has been applying to pediatric residencies all over the US. On March 17th we found out where we will be headed and.........Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN!!! We are pretty excited. He graduates June 4th and we make the 24 HOUR drive shortly thereafter. So my life has been a hustle trying to find housing and coordinate moving etc. I just hope I don't become a ghost and you all forget about this little blog. One good thing about Moving cross country is that it will put me close {Like less then and HOUR close} to my favorite digi gal, Manda AKA NibblesSkribbles! It has been so cold lately hasn't it? All I want to do is snuggle in a warm blankie with a hot cup of tea {I am addicted to peppermint chai lately} and read. And then there are these hair flowers. The ones I have a zillion of. I had requests to see how big they were on my and the babes. Well I tried {and perhaps failed...} to capture them. Hope this helps.

Model #1 is both beautiful and thoroughly unwilling to cooperate with me and my camera. But here is a medium sized flower-

And that's about all I got out of her. So I stuck her in bed and moved on to Model #2. This model is equally attractive and equally unwilling to participate. However, bribery works well with this one and the promise of candy kept him smiling.

Here is a small flower {I would wear this clipped straight in my hair}
And my favorite thing ever are headbands like these. I hate hair in my face. B has a big melon, so I think this is pretty comparable to an adults head.

Soooooo, I have been in a ridiculously crafty mood lately. I have made about a zillion of these little satin and felt flowers for mine and my daughter's hair. Aren't they purdy?

I'm not kidding when I say I made a zillion! Really, I'm not. I have made so many in fact, I'd like to give a few away to you guys.

What do you think? I have gotten many compliments whenever I wear one in my hair. Alls you gotta do it leave a comment saying what kind/color you would most like. How to Make a Felt Flower Necklace

So I have been in quite the crafty mood lately. I have been making felt and satin flowers like crazy. It's a nice change from my usual hobbies. The other day I came up with a felt flower necklace and posted a few pics on Face Book. A few friends wanted to know how I made it, so I thought I'd make a little tut. Anyway, here we go-

Here is what you will need- Felt, scissors, glue gun, needle and thread, tulle {optional}, beads for center of flower, lighter and a chain. At least 18 inches long, but maybe longer depending on your flowers.

Cut 3 circles. Each one getting a little smaller. That is one flower. I made 3 for my necklace, each one a little smaller then the last.
All of my cut circles. It doesn't matter if they aren't perfectly round.
Repeat with the Tulle if you are using it. I like to put a double layer of tulle after the larger circle and again after the middle circle. I always cut a double layer of tulle because it is so thin.
Grab your lighter. Slightly burn the edges of your felt circles. If you hold it like so, the circle will curve upwards.
Carefully burn the edges of the tulle together. It melts quickly so be careful! It also really stinks. When you are done burning all the edges, your flower should look something like this-
Repeat with all three flowers-
When you are done, sew the flowers together with a simple little cross stitch. Then put a dollop of hot glue in the center of the flower and glue your beads {or buttons} down.
Now we are ready to assemble the necklace. Glue the flowers onto felt in the shape that you want your necklace to be.
When they are all arranged, trim the extra felt.
Get your chain and glue it to the back of the flowers. Make sure your chain is long enough to fit over your head. Use lots of glue to secure it down. Then place a small piece of felt over the chain to secure it more.
And we have a necklace! Pretty easy huh? What do you think? Isn't it cute? There are so many different ways to make these. I have been having too much fun making these in soooo many colors!
I have made a million flower hair pins, and brooches and necklaces! So many in fact, I think I need to give some away. Ya know just for fun! SO stay tuned on how to win a few of these!
